Essence of India

We've been dining at Essence of India since we moved to Kinross 13 years ago. The food here has never disappointed. We have tried other curry places at times but we always come back here. The chef Raj is very welcoming and friendly, and the food is always of a consistent quality. I recommend this curry house to anyone wanting quality food at a competitive price.

The only good thing about this restaurant is the food. It's delicious, served hot, and reasonably priced. The servings are good too. The decor is dated and it lacks atmosphere. There is a gent who comes around to meet the customers, however he needs to look at his grooming! I had ordered a can drink and it was so slow to arrive at our table...I had to wait 15 minutes for it. They ran out of ice, this is a staple in any restaurant, so we had to wait. When it arrived, it was served in a glass and promptly melted within minutes. So disappointed. However, the food was good.....

Had very enjoyable evening with family here. Everyone absolutely enjoyed the food which was very tasty and flavoursome, great portion size and well presented. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Definitely recommend.

I was really happy with my experience the food was great and was quite cheap for the amount we ordered. The service was good we got a table straight away the food came quick and was over all really good. The waiter Harley was outstanding and really polite, great experience and will come again

Raj always goes out of his way to make sure you are enjoying the food. Will try to accommodate any special request. Chicken tikka is the best and made with chicken breast. Curries are always tasty. Raj cooks and oversees all orders. Top food .. try it!
